3D Printed Chess Set

Chess Pieces

I created these chess pieces that was look like a water vase, because it reminds me of my grandfather who likes to collect vases and likes to play chess as his hobby. (And also, my original idea was the industrial style of chess piece but I'm running out of time and I have a lot of stuff to finish so this was my second go-to idea. Not bad I guess)

Reverse Engineered Object (FINAL)

This is my final rendered photos of my 3d object. It took 3 hours for me to render. The other photo could not load because of something issue. But overall I have fun with this assignment, and I wanted to reverse engineer more objects maybe my arcade stick next for upgrading it.

Selected Object to Reverse Engineering

These three objects that I attached below are My choices for the reverse engineering objects

1.) Nintendo Switch Controllers

This is my first choice since its small and easy to reverse engineer it, I was pretty curious on how the analog of this controller was the first to break. That's why I wanted to study it more and reverse engineer and maybe to get some ideas to create a new design for it.

2. HORI Real Arcade Pro 4

This is my second object of choice and one of the challenging of the three, I was always interested to create myself a new arcade stick on which it will help me and more gamers especially on fighting games to be more comfortable and execute the right combos. So if this will be choose then I will be happy to take extra time to reverse engineer this object

3. My baby brother's toy

This is a random object, because I can't think any other objects which I could find to reverse engineer it.

ASSIGNMENT #3 2D SURFACE DESIGN AND RESEARCH

For this assignment, here are the photos that I've come up to create some surface design of my very own.

And here at the bottom are my initial design for my 2d surface, I got confused at first on the hatching part, but in the end I pulled it off. I wanted to make more organic shape but I prefer the simplicity of the design which will make it easier to cut on the future.
